Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 5, 2026
Estate Golf is a golf scorecard app built local-first. You can use every scoring feature without an account. If you choose to sign in with Apple, Estate Golf additionally backs up your golf data to our servers so you can restore it if you switch or lose your phone.
Information Stored on Your Device
Estate Golf stores the information you enter so the app can show your scorecards and statistics. This may include:
- Player profile information such as name, gender, age, handicap, home course, distance unit, and longest drive.
- Active and completed golf rounds.
- Course selections, player names, hole scores, totals, net scores, and Stableford points.
- Local connection diagnostics used to troubleshoot Nearby scorecard sync.
This information is stored locally on your device.
Optional Account and Cloud Backup
Signing in is optional and uses Sign in with Apple only. When you sign in, we receive and store:
- Your Apple account identifier and the email address Apple shares with us. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, this is a private relay address.
- The name you choose to share at sign-in, if any.
While you are signed in, your player profile, rounds, scores, and related scorecard data are backed up to Estate Golf's backend (hosted on Supabase) and linked to your account so they can be restored on your devices. If you never sign in, this data stays on your device only.
Online Multiplayer Rooms
If you host or join an online round, Estate Golf uses backend room channels to relay room setup, invite codes, join requests, player display names, and encrypted scorecard updates. Approved room participants can read the shared scorecard for that round; the backend relays encrypted scorecard payloads after host approval.
Nearby Scorecard Sync
If you use Nearby multiplayer, Estate Golf may send round, player, and scorecard data directly to nearby players that you choose to connect with.
Nearby sync uses Apple system services such as local network, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and does not go through Estate Golf servers.
In-App Purchases
Purchases, if offered, are processed by Apple. Estate Golf uses Adapty, a purchase infrastructure service, to manage purchase and subscription state. Adapty receives a device identifier (such as the identifier for vendor) and purchase history. Adapty does not receive your scorecards or profile details.
Diagnostics Logs
Estate Golf keeps local connection diagnostics to help troubleshoot Nearby sync.
These logs stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. If you share diagnostics using the iOS share sheet, the recipient or destination you choose may receive those logs.
Data We Do Not Collect
Estate Golf does not:
- Collect data for tracking or advertising, and does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- Collect precise location.
- Sell your data.
An account is optional. Without sign-in, your scorecards are not uploaded to Estate Golf servers.
Your Choices
You can edit your profile in the app, delete saved rounds from history, sign out at any time (your local rounds and profile stay on the device), stop Nearby sync at any time, and clear diagnostics logs from the diagnostics screen.
You can also delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data from that device.
Deleting Your Account
If you signed in, you can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and its backed-up data from Estate Golf servers, signs you out, and revokes Sign in with Apple authorization for Estate Golf. Shared rounds may remain in other players' own scorecard records with your linked backend participant label replaced by a neutral placeholder. Data stored locally on your device is kept until you delete it or the app.
Children
Estate Golf is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the policy changes, the updated version will be made available in the app and on this page.
